CMEX Programme Rolls Out Companywide

October 2008 - The Skills4Work training is still in progress and fantastic results are already coming to fruition. Since July, full programme implementation has begun companywide.

Everyone in the company is, and has been, involved in training in Lean principles and implementing improvement projects throughout the business. All these projects will provide significant operational and business performance improvements.

Clinton Yeates, Skills4Work's manufacturing consultant, has been leading the training programme with Stainless Design since the pilot programme began in March this year.

He commented on their progress: "The physical rollout of these projects over the last three months has been staggering. There has been significant visual and organisational improvement to all work areas.  All staff have demonstrated their support of this programme and their ability to make improvements, resulting in significant improvements for the company."

John Cook reported that lead times for laser cutting and folding have been substantially reduced through off line programming, staff training and additional staff.

"We have raised the bar and are enjoying being in state of full control with delivery performance improving month on month," commented John.
